From the majestic Matopo mountains in Zimbabwe, S'phongo is a wellness storyteller, author and six time international slam champion. Their writing explores their immediate social/political environment, mental health and personal growth. S'phongo's poetry film Thru Hell was shortlisted for the Ó Bhéal’s poetry-film competition 2022. Their footprints can be found on stages in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Italy, France, Belgium, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone or here on zoom. When S'phongo is not on stage amplifying their ancestor's voices, they create animations, DJ for fun and work as the Operation Director for VAfrica, a youth media organisation in Sierra Leone.
