Sinéad McClure is a writer, radio producer and illustrator. Her writing is published on radio, in anthologies, magazines, and online including: Crossways Magazine, Meat for Tea, Live Encounters, Poethead, Drawn to the Light, The Cormorant, Dodging the Rain, A New Ulster, StepAway Magazine, Sonder Magazine, Tiny Spoon, The Poetry Bus, Vox Galvia, Ink Sweat & Tears & The Ekphrastic Review. In 2021 Sinéad won the Ó Bhéal Five Word International Poetry Prize, The Wingless Dreamer Spring Poetry Prize, and was shortlisted in the MONO Poetry Competition. Sinéad is also a writer for children and has written and co-produced 15 radio dramas for RTEjr radio dealing with themes of conservation, and Ireland's Natural Environment. In December 2021, Sinéad received a grant from The Arts Council of Ireland which is helping to fund a period of writing titled "Cuttings": a project of time and study about the land around her.
