Maeve McKenna is a poet living in Sligo, Ireland. Her poetry has been placed in several international poetry competitions including iYeats, Red Line, Hanna Greally, Trim and The Allingham. Her work is published in print in Mslexia, Orbis, Sand Magazine, Fly on the Wall, Boyne Berries, One Hundred Words of Solitude, Sonder, Channel, Culture Matters, The Cormorant among others and widely online. Her work is anthologised in several books. Maeve was a finalist in the Eavan Boland Mentorship Award 2020, third in The Canterbury Poet of The Year, 2021, and a Pushcart nominee, 2022. Maeve was part of a collaboration with three poets and this collection won the Dreich Alliance Pamphlet Competition and was published in October, 2021. Maeve has received two literature bursaries from the Arts Council of Ireland. Her debut pamphlet will be published in February, 2022, by Fly On The Wall Press.
