As a boy in County Limerick, Joe Healy wondered what it would be like to join a circus, but

never pursued his dreams. Still there are comparisons today. He juggles his life of work,

family and writing.  Every Summer Joe sets up camp in County Kerry and entertains the

crowds at poetry readings in Tralee and Listowel Writers.

Healy's poetry features in Anthologies such as Sextet, I live in Michael Hartnett and Voices

from the Cave.  Revival Press/Limerick Writers Centre published his first collection Soft as Rainbow in

2013. Poems have also appeared in Crannog, Bare Hands and Mystic Nebula.

Healy's motto when writing," There is no safety net."
