Fiona Clark Echlin has become a familiar voice and presence in literary events in Limerick and many other parts of Ireland. Her distinctive delivery and  performance are well known and have been described as ‘spell-binding’.

Fiona  is a gifted teacher and her courses in Creative Writing have inspired  many people, including minority groups such as gifted children and  rehabilitation groups with special needs.

Fiona  is also an award winning playwright and writer of short stories. She  sits on the board of directors at The Limerick Writers’ Centre and has also been associated for many years with the Killaloe Hedge School of  Writing.

Fiona  was trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where  she won the coveted Dove Memorial Prize awarded to the student with  highest achievement in performance and writing. It was during this time  that she became involved in directing and writing for the theatre. This  experience led her to an academic involvement in Drama and Literacy.
