David Butler is an award winning novelist, dramatist, short story writer and poet. His three poetry collections are Via Crucis (Doghouse, 2011), All the Barbaric Glass (Doire, 2017) and Liffey Sequence (Doire, 2021). His eleven poem series Blackrock Sequence, a Per Cent Arts Commission illustrated by his brother, Jim, won the 2017 World Illustrated Books Award, and copies of the limited edition have been purchased by the Tate, the Bodleian and British Libraries, Cambridge and Yale Universities, the Irish National Gallery and NCAD. Awards for poetry include the Ted McNulty, Brendan Kennelly, LUAS/Tallaght, Féile Filíochta, Poetry Ireland/Trócaire, Maria Edgeworth, Phizzfest and Bailieborough prizes.
