Liam Boyle was born in Drogheda and moved to Galway in the 1970s. He wrote poetry in his teens
and twenties but then didn’t write any for several decades. He would like to express his immense
gratitude to Susan Millar DuMars and the late Kevin Higgins for helping him to rediscover the joys
and challenges of poetry. Their support and encouragement for poets and poetry in Galway is
legendary. Liam writes mainly in English but has also been published in the Irish language. He has
been a featured reader at Over the Edge in Galway city and also at the New Writing Showcase at
Cúirt International Festival of Literature. His poems have been published in various outlets including
Skylight 47, Vox Galvia, Confluence magazine, Causeway/Cabhsair magazine and the Minds Shine
Bright anthology Light and Shadow. He enjoys walking and talking and spending time with his
grandchildren.
We are grateful for the support of The Arts Council and Limerick City & County Council.
Zoom closed-captions will be made available for this event.
Participation is limited to the first 100 guests to join.
