Jeff Cottrill is a novelist, poet, journalist, and spoken-word artist based in Toronto, Canada. His performance style is influenced by slam conventions, but subverts them with wit, ironic humour and a satirical tone. He has headlined in literary/performance series throughout Canada, the U.K., the U.S., France and Ireland for more than 20 years, and his work has appeared in international anthologies from North America to Australia. Last year, he launched Hate Story, his seventh or eighth attempt at a first novel, and his poem "This Is Not Real Poetry" was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2021. http://www.JeffCottrill.com
