Holly Hughes is an Irish poet and storyteller. Holly Hughes is a writer, poet and performer from West Cork. She premiered her first one woman show at Scene + Heard in 2025, and is due to represent Ireland at the International Slam Poetry World Cup in May 2025. She was runner-up in the 2024 All Ireland Poetry Slam and a State Finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam 2023. Her work attempts to understand the idiosyncrasies of the world around us, swinging from hilarity to outrage at the speed of a 3am doomscroll. Inequality, oppression, ecocide, dating, patriarchy - Holly attempts to tackle it all with humour and empathy. She is currently undertaking a Master's in Creative Writing at the University of Limerick.
We are grateful for the support of The Arts Council and Limerick City & County Council.
Zoom closed-captions will be made available for this event.
Participation is limited to the first 100 guests to join.
