Finn Cassidy is a 'new'/'emerging' Irish poet. Born in County Monaghan, he grew up in Clones along the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland during the 1970s and 80s, a period of social and military conflict referred to as 'The Troubles'. In the 1990s he studied and worked in corporate Dublin. In 2002, he swapped 'the rat race' for 'a snail's pace' at high-altitude in the rural French-Alps, where he still lives and writes poetry. His poems, many inspired by the natural world and cosmos, as well as his Irish origins, have been published in a variety of international poetry journals and anthologies (in print and online) including, The Storms Journal, Stripes Literary Magazine, Rough Diamond Poetry Journal, Green Ink Poetry, Apricot Press, Last Leaves Magazine, Sublunary Review, and others. He is currently completing his first full poetry collection, titled: Notions of Starkology-Codology.

He is a regular poetry-reader at Lime Square Poets' weekly online poetry 'Open Mic'. He was winner of the Lime Square Poets' 2024 5-Word Poetry Challenge.
