Carla is a mother, psychologist, and spoken word poet who writes about parenthood, womanhood, love, identity, and all the things that keep people awake at 3 am. She has been writing for years but only found the courage to perform in 2021, and has been making up for lost time ever since.
Her poems are shaped by the realities of raising children, being a woman, and trying to make sense of what it means to be human. Drawing from both personal experience and the stories people carry, she is interested in the things we struggle to say out loud but probably should.
She lives somewhere between vulnerability and overthinking.
We are grateful for the support of The Arts Council and Limerick City & County Council.
Zoom closed-captions will be made available for this event.
Participation is limited to the first 100 guests to join.
